Our success depends on a community of individuals and organizations who are as dedicated to ending poverty as we are — from the journalist who speaks powerfully for anti-poverty programs to the scientist developing health technologies that reach the poorest. In appreciation for these outstanding efforts, RESULTS/REF presents two awards at our annual events:
The Seeds of Hope Award is given to an individual or organization that demonstrates exemplary, innovative, and strategic work that extends health care, economic opportunity, education, and hope to all the world’s citizens. The award is presented at RESULTS/REF benefit events in major cities across the United States.
The Cameron Duncan Media Award recognizes a journalist for outstanding reporting of issues relating to poverty and hunger either domestically or worldwide. The award honors Cameron Duncan, a former associate executive director of RESULTS who devoted his life to fighting hunger and poverty. Duncan arranged an endowment to RESULTS Educational Fund for an annual media award prior to his death. The award is presented annually at the RESULTS/REF International Conference.
