The IC has powerful plenaries led by dedicated experts and advocacy training sessions that inspire and prepare activists of all levels to take action to end poverty in the U.S. and around the globe. High profile speakers will share and train everyday citizens to become better advocates. For those participating in the REAL Change program, we will offer a special “advocacy boot camp” on July 21 and additional workshops on July 25 to increase your advocacy effectiveness and to prepare you with skills for instituting anti-poverty advocacy campaigns in your communities. In addition to advocacy and media training, and expert panels on global health, education, and economic opportunity, this year the annual RESULTS IC will coincide with the 2012 International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington, D.C. to combine the successful RESULTS advocacy model with the voices of thousands of other AIDS activists to create even greater momentum for the end of poverty and AIDS. During AIDS 2012, admission is free to the Global Village Expo where there are networking opportunities and teach-ins. This exciting alignment with AIDS 2012 means this year’s IC can’t be missed!
