To prepare for the IC, it’s critical you plan for each Hill meeting BEFORE you come to DC so you are fully prepared! John Fawcett, Jen Maurer, and Crickett Nicovich are available to talk through your Hill meetings and strategize on the most effective asks for each member of Congress. Even if your meeting isn’t finalized yet, you should still plan ahead and set a time to talk. Available TimesJohn, Jen, or Crickett will be available during the following blocks of time to talk with you and your group. Please try to schedule a call for one of these times now: May 25 (Tuesday): 9:00 am – 9:00 pm May 27 (Thursday): 9:00 am – 9:00 pm June 2 (Wednesday): 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm June 8 (Tuesday): 9:00 am – 9:00 pm June 10 (Thursday): 9:00 am – 9:00 pm (If absolutely none of these times work, a separate time can be arranged, but please try your best to schedule during these times) How to Schedule a CallStep #1: Talk with your group and decide: Which members of Congress you will try to arrange meetings with in D.C.? Which of the time slots (see below) is best for the majority in your group? Step #2: Send Jen Maurer an email (jmaurer@results.org). Subject line: IC Prep (insert Date/Time) with (insert sen/rep’s name). Body of the e-mail: Include your name, group’s name, which members you want to discuss, and any relevant background for these members/meetings. Step #3: Jen will send you an e-mail back confirming the time and who will be on the call with you (Jen, John, or Crickett). If you don’t hear back from Jen within 3 days, e-mail again. Step #4: Arrange with Jen, John, or Crickett (whoever you are schedule with) the logistics of the call (who will call out, is there a conference number, etc.). |
