Take 2 minutes to stop this devastating health bill

UPDATE: on Friday, March 25, the U.S. House of Representatives will take a vote that could end Medicaid as we know it. Your phone call right now can make a difference.

The American Health Care Act would take away health coverage for 24 million Americans. It would harm tens of millions of children in low-income families, seniors, people with disabilities, and others through major cuts and caps on Medicaid. Overall, 14 million Americans who participate in Medicaid would lose their health coverage. We need a strong public outcry against these deep cuts.

TAKE ACTION: Call your representative at (877) 233-9025, and urge them to oppose the House health care bill, and any proposals that end Medicaid as we know it.

Last week, the Congressional Budget Office released their findings that the House bill will cut $880 billion from Medicaid alone. Millions of people will pay the consequences for that cut with their health or with their lives. We cannot stand for this.

The changes that House leaders made this week, and are expected to make before bringing to the House floor tomorrow, will only make this bad bill worse. The fate of this effort is not clear – and your calls will make a difference.

Please take 2 minutes to make a call – and if you cannot get through to DC, you can find local office contact information on our website or send an email instead. Coordinate with others to make sure someone talks directly to the key health aide — you can tailor our Medicaid laser talk for that conversation. Then, urge your friends to do the same by sharing this blogpost via social media.
