Cindy Levin, RESULTS grassroots development associate and Chicago activist, is working tirelessly to raise awareness about children in extreme poverty. Her focus is on vaccines, which are a cost effective way to save the lives of countless children and make a huge impact in communities across the globe. During our recent RESULTS International Conference Cindy brought handwritten letters by children that were personally addressed to members of Congress asking them to take notice of this issue and take legislative action. As a result of her efforts, Cindy is not only helping children in extreme poverty, but is also providing other children an early lesson on activism and democracy by teaching them the importance of speaking up for those who often have no voice.
