REF has initiated two major projects that ally with organizations in numerous countries: The ACTION Project and the Microcredit Summit Campaign.
ACTION is a global partnership of advocacy organizations working to influence policy and mobilize resources to fight diseases of poverty and improve equitable access to health services.
The Microcredit Summit Campaign is working to ensure that 175 million of the world’s poorest families, especially the women of those families, are receiving credit for self-employment and other financial and business services, and that 100 million families rise above the US$1 a day threshold by 2015.
RESULTS and REF also work closely with affiliate organizations in six other countries — Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and the United Kingdom — who encourage their governments to create policies and funding for the end of hunger and extreme poverty. While each affiliate determines its own campaigns, actions are coordinated among countries for the greatest impact.
